Deck the Halls!

We decorated our Christmas tree! I love decorating the tree and the house. It seems to set the mood for Christmas. On years that we go to Boise, we put up an artificial tree. Since we are staying in Wyoming this Christmas, we decided to buy a real tree. The tree lot (Smith's Food Store) had beautiful trees. My kids wanted to have a Griswald adventure so they picked a tree that was still wrapped in twine. We got it home and put it in the stand. As Dave was cutting the twine, Lucas was commenting on how he hoped the tree would not break the windows. I think both Jenni and Lucas were a little disappointed that a squirrel did not come jumping out of the tree. The pictures are blurry but it gives a sense of the merriment. Lucas realized for the first time that XMAS means that Christ is not a part of Christmas. Because of this, he is making a point to tell everyone he sees Merry Christ-mas. Jenni is constantly singing Christmas carols and every time we go to Walmart she wants to pick a person off of the giving tree to buy Christmas for them. I love this time of year and the Christmas spirit! Merry Christmas!

Very nice. I like your living room. It looks good. That was brave of you to pick out a tree you hadn't even seen! Britton picked ours out this year too but he was going for a big tree. I'll put some pictures on when I can get the kids to cooperate and take some pictures underneath it.
